A Quiet Day to Remember the Lost

Today marks the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy in New York City.  The 9/11 memorial sites will be filled with flowers and candles and praying hands as people remember all those who were lost.  As we all know, New York is a very loud city, and although I have never been in NYC on September 11, I have heard from New Yorkers that it is a rather quiet day all throughout the city.

I challenge you today to take a moment of silence to think about all the lives that were affected by this tragedy, but to also think about how far our country and New York City has come since then.  Pray for our country and our troops who are out fighting and losing their lives so that we can be safe and free.

This might be a depressing thing to think about but now we can celebrate because the amazing city of New York is currently in the works of the Freedom Tower in remembrance of the Twin Towers!  So after you have taken your moment of remembrance, take a moment to think about all of the pride New York City, and our country, as a whole, will have when the Freedom Tower makes its grand opening.

Lets celebrate New York!
